Lawrence, N.Y. — October 18 — The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded Saturday night to the Village of Lawrence for a motor vehicle accident where a car went through a fence and came to rest partially in a backyard swimming pool. Chief of Department Meyer Adler arrived first, confirmed the vehicle position, and directed units to the rear of the property. Engine 323 and Ladder 325 stabilized the car and used a winch to remove it from the water.

All occupants had already exited the vehicle before emergency services arrived and were evaluated by Lawrence-Cedarhurst Ambulance 3292, with no injuries reported. Units cleared the scene under the command of Chief Adler.
