North Merrick FD Responds to Multi-Vehicle Crash on Southern State Parkway

North Merrick, N.Y. — October 26 — A multi-vehicle collision on the Southern State Parkway at Exit 23 was attended by the North Merrick Fire Department on Sunday evening. In order to evaluate the scene and secure hazards, the exit ramp was temporarily blocked. Numerous patients were assessed on the spot, and one was taken to a nearby hospital. Until traffic was safely reopened and the road was cleared, the department stayed on the scene.
