RIT Scenario Training Focuses on Firefighter Rescue Skills

East Killingly, Conn. — November 3 — Members of the East Killingly Fire Department conducted training focused on Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) operations, practicing scenarios involving a firefighter in distress. Crews worked with RIT tools and reviewed procedures for locating, assessing, and removing a downed firefighter under interior conditions.
The department extended thanks to Jackson Ellsworth for assisting by serving as the training victim, helping provide realistic conditions for the drill.
