Fully involved mobile home fire with exposures in Springwater

SPRINGWATER, NY - On Monday, November 3, at 2:50 p.m., firefighters from Springwater, Sparta and Livonia (FAST), along with Livingston County EMS were dispatched to a report of smoke coming from the roof of a house at 7396 Wetmore Road in Springwater.


Livingston County sheriff's deputies arrived on location and reported a mobile home fully involved and the fire spreading to other nearby exposures.


Additional mutual aid was requested to the scene for a tanker from Honeoye and a ladder from Wayland F.D.'s.


There were several animals in the home, at least two cats were rescued by firefighters, the status of the others is unknown.


The blaze was declared under control in about 90 minutes.


No injuries were reported.


The cause was under investigation by Livingston County Emergency Management.
