Buffalo, N.Y. — October 25 — The Buffalo Niagara International Airport Fire Department’s 2nd Platoon held its annual family pumpkin carving event, continuing a tradition that brings members and their families together outside of emergency response. The gathering offered time for firefighters and their families to connect, unwind, and enjoy time at the station in a relaxed setting.

The department noted the event has become a well-liked tradition among the platoon. Discussions are already underway on whether to expand the activity next year into a friendly pumpkin carving competition between all platoons.
