Andover Fire Rescue Engine 1 Assists at Third-Alarm Lawrence Fire

Andover, Mass. — October 25, 2026 — Andover Fire Rescue Engine Company 1 crew members worked at a third-alarm structure fire in Lawrence overnight, supporting local firefighters and mutual-aid companies at 158 Walnut Street. 

A multi-family building was the location of a fire reported early Sunday morning. Lawrence Engine 7 arrived first and encountered heavy fire showing from the third floor. The incident grew to a third alarm when extra help was needed. 

Andover and Methuen were among the departments requested to assist Lawrence. More mutual-aid firms from Haverhill, Dracut, North Andover, Lowell and Salem, New Hampshire, were also present at the location.
