Newburgh FD responded to a vehicle that struck pole on Gidney Ave and Columbus Ave on November Fourth. City/Newburgh had Gidney Ave closed between
Roe Street and Columbus Ave. Empress EMS were at scene. Firefighters checked vehicle for hazards. City/Newburgh Police notified Central Hudson as pole
was cracked at bottom. Subject's in vehicle refused medical treatment. Tow truck arrived and short time later Central Hudson arrived. City/Newburgh Police
investigating the cause.
