On November 3rd around 1 PM Engine 2,4,7 Rescue 1,Tower 1 and Medic responded to 135 Second avenue. When the arrived they found a back hoe had broken a large gas main at the Hampton Inns Suites. Because there was so mush gas being emitted Deputy Chief Brock Rowland transmitted a second alarm which brought Engines 1, Squad 5, Engine 3, 8 and Ladder 2. There were no evacuations but traffic was impacted in the area, there were injuries
