Pawlet, Vt. — October 29 — The Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department has placed Attack 543 into service as the newest unit in the fleet. Built in-house on a 2024 Ford F-350 Super Duty 4x4 chassis, the truck carries 200 gallons of water and a 300 GPM pump with Class A foam capability. It is equipped for both wildland and structural firefighting and is designed to reach locations where full-sized engines cannot operate.
Attack 543 also supports utility functions, including transporting personnel and traffic-control equipment. The apparatus was built by PVFD members and is dedicated in loving memory of Fran Powers.
