Townshend, Vt. — October 15 — The Townshend Volunteer Fire Department conducted nighttime vehicle extrication training to simulate real on-scene conditions. Members practiced stabilizing a vehicle using struts and securing the scene before performing controlled access and patient removal techniques.

Training after dark allowed crews to work through challenges such as limited visibility and uneven terrain, helping strengthen communication, tool handling, and coordinated movement around the vehicle.
