Charlestown Richmond Firefighters Knock Down Early Morning Camper Blaze

Charlestown, R.I. — November 1 — Just before 5:30 a.m., the Charlestown Richmond Fire Department (CRFD) was dispatched to a reported camper fire, with assistance from Cross’ Mills Fire Department, Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service, and Charlestown Police Department. Engine 713 arrived first and confirmed a fully involved camper fire. Due to the location, crews laid a supply line from the main road to access the scene. Engine 813, Engine 812, Tanker 715, and Tanker 625 worked in coordination to establish a water supply and bring the fire under control.
Mutual aid support from Richmond–Carolina Fire District and Hope Valley–Wyoming Fire District ensured a swift and effective response. No injuries were reported.
