Newburgh FD responded to a vehicle into a pole on South Street in area of Thompson Street on November Fourth. City/Newburgh Police were at scene. Driver fled 

after striking the pole. Firefighters disconnected the battery and spread speedy dry on fluids on roadway. Central Hudson arrived and inspected pole. Accident turned 

over to Police who is investigating the cause.
