Avon, Conn. — October 27 — The Avon Volunteer Fire Department hosted a professional development session with Jason Rivera of Tactical Resource Fire Training LLC on Sunday. The session focused on enhancing tactical awareness, decision-making, and operational coordination during complex fireground scenarios.
Firefighters from Avon and neighboring departments gathered for the classroom portion of the program, which emphasized safety, communication, and efficiency during fire operations. The upcoming weekend will feature hands-on practical evolutions designed to apply these lessons in realistic conditions.
