Norwalk, Conn. — October 11 — The Norwalk Fire Department hosted a regional water supply drill featuring tankers and crews from Stamford, Turn of River, Long Ridge, New Canaan, Darien, Noroton Heights, Weston, Wilton, Greenwich, and Rowayton.
The training focused on tanker shuttle operations, a critical method used when fires occur beyond 1,000 feet of a hydrant or where water flow is limited. Participating departments practiced establishing and maintaining a steady water supply under simulated emergency conditions.
