East Rockaway, N.Y. — November 1 — The East Rockaway Fire Department Dive Team took part in the Islip Town 2025 Sayville Ferry Mass Casualty Incident Full-Scale Exercise, hosted by the Community Ambulance Company and Sayville Fire Department.

The drill simulated a ferry emergency with multiple patients on board and in the water. East Rockaway’s Dive Team served as the Safety Dive Unit, ready to respond to any real emergencies during the exercise. The event brought together fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies to strengthen coordination and regional preparedness.
