FDNY Paramedic Salih Abdur Rahman, was laid to rest today

FDNY Paramedic Salih Abdur Rahman, was laid to rest today. He served the people of New York for more than two decades,” said FDNY Commissioner Tucker. “He touched the lives of so many EMTs and Paramedics, and the many whose lives he saved.” Paramedic Abdur Rahman was appointed to the FDNY on October 18, 2002. He was assigned to Manhattan Division 1 and then worked at Station 8 in Kips Bay. He was reassigned to Station 16 in Harlem and then to Station 13 in Washington Heights, where he worked for nine years. He was promoted to Paramedic in 2021 and worked at Station 8 and Station 4 in Lower Manhattan. He was assigned to the FDNY Training Academy at Randall’s Island at the time of his death.
