Fonda, N.Y. — October 26 — Town of Mohawk Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire at 3876 State Highway 5 after a Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy confirmed a working fire on arrival.

An assistant chief requested additional tankers and manpower from Canajoharie, Fort Plain, Tribes Hill, and Glen fire departments, while Fultonville Fire Department established a fill site in the Village of Fonda. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 50 minutes.
