Mohawk Firefighters Teach Fire Safety to Fonda-Fultonville Pre-K Students.

Fonda, N.Y. — October 17 — The Town of Mohawk Fire Department hosted pre-kindergarten students from the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District for a fun and educational visit. Firefighters showed the children the trucks, let them try on gear, and talked about basic fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Before heading back to school, the students enjoyed cookies and chocolate milk — ending the visit on a sweet note. The department said events like these help build early awareness and trust between firefighters and the community’s youngest members.
