Amsterdam, N.Y. — October 13 — The Perth Volunteer Fire Company visited Broadalbin-Perth Elementary and Middle School during Fire Prevention Week to teach students about fire safety and prevention. Firefighters discussed escape planning, smoke alarms, and simple safety practices to use at home.

Department officials thanked the staff and students for their warm welcome and emphasized that early fire safety education helps build safer communities for the future.
