Canajoharie Firefighters Assist at Structure Fire in Town of Mohawk.

Canajoharie, N.Y. — October 27 — Canajoharie Volunteer Fire Department assisted the Town of Mohawk Fire Department at a structure fire on State Highway 5. The fire was confirmed by a Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy who arrived first on scene.
Mutual aid was provided by departments from Fort Plain, Tribes Hill, Glen, and Fultonville, which established a fill site in the Village of Fonda to support water operations. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 50 minutes.
