Burtonsville, Md. — October 19 — The Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department responded mutual aid to Prince George’s County for a reported house fire in the 15500 block of Straughn Drive in Laurel. Upon arrival, crews found fire showing from the rear of a two-story single-family home, extending into both floors and the attic.

Engine, Truck, Medic, and Chief 715 operated at the scene alongside county units, working together to bring the fire under control and conduct extensive overhaul. The coordinated response demonstrated the strength of mutual-aid partnerships between Burtonsville and neighboring jurisdictions.
