At 1:43 am on Saturday 11/1/2025 the Franklin Fire Department with Baltic Tanker 124, Bozrah Ladder & Tanker 126, Lebanon Tanker and Hose Tender 106, Yantic Engines 32 & 33, Norwich FAST and American Medic 24 were dispatched to 7 Pond Road for a house fire.
Baltic Tanker 124 arrived at 1:56 with a fully involved residence that was already collapsing. Tanker 124 positioned in the driveway and stretched a 2.5” hose line and an 1.75” hose line to protect a vehicle and garage. Franklin Engine 125 arrived next and stretched a line to the front. Crews operated in a defensive posture and had most of the fire darkened down in about 45 minutes.
Water supply was set up using a manifold at the bottom of the driveway. Additional tankers responded from Scotland, Lisbon, East Great Plain and Laurel Hill. The home was a complete loss and the Franklin Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
