Bristol, R.I. — Oct. 20 — The Bristol Fire Department recently conducted a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) training session focused on life-saving medical skills in high-stress environments.

During the session, participants received hands-on instruction on the use of specialized bleeding-control equipment and practiced techniques for safely moving through buildings while treating and evacuating simulated patients. The training emphasized teamwork, situational awareness, and the rapid application of tourniquets and pressure dressings to control severe bleeding.
