Bristol, R.I. — Oct. 18 — Members of the Bristol Fire Department recently completed a town-wide hydrant-painting project following National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) color-coding standards. Over the past week, crews painted the crowns of fire hydrants in four different colors, each representing a range of gallons per minute available for firefighting operations.
