Three Homes Ruined, Dozens Displaced in Allentown Four Alarmer

ALLENTOWN, PA - A four-alarm fire heavily consumed three m/o/r dwellings on September 15th, with the first alarm being struck at 11:56 P.M. Dispatch reported that they were receiving multiple reports of several homes on fire. When responding companies arrived at 30 S. Jefferson St., they found they had heavy fire in the rear of these dwellings, which also included several garages. Command requested extra alarms as the fires continued to make headway. All the occupants of these homes made it out safely. Besides the fire gutted homes, exposure homes received smoke and water damage. Thirty-three people were displaced by this blaze. Assisting the AFD on scene were Catasauqua, Woodlawn, Emmaus, Eastern Salisbury and Greenawalds fire departments.
