Chesterfield police cruisers struck at traffic stop

CHESTERFIELD,VA-It was a close call for two Chesterfield County Police Officers on Oct
16, around 2:51am.

Capt. Andrea Riesmeyer of Chesterfield County Police Department,reported that two marked cruisers were struck by a passing motorist as officers were conducting a traffic stop on Chippenham Parkway.

No injuries were reported. Officers were not in the cruisers at the time.

Police have not said if charges will be filed.
