Hancock, ME - 19 October's morning marked the completion of an Emergency Vehicle Driver Training course taught by Captain Eugley, a certified instructor through VFIS. Five students representing Sullivan Fire/Rescue, Eastbrook Volunteer Fire Department, Franklin Volunteer Fire Department, and Winter Harbor Fire Department successfully participated in the training.

The program included a full day of classroom instruction followed by a practical cone course, where participants operated both a fire truck and an ambulance through a series of exercises designed to enhance their ability to safely navigate tight spaces, back up, and operate emergency apparatus with confidence and precision. All students performed exceptionally well, resulting in each department gaining additional certified drivers.

A special thank-you goes out to Hancock Grammar School for providing the parking lot for the driving portion of the course, and to Sullivan Fire Department for hosting the classroom session and supplying an ambulance for training. Appreciation is also extended to the Chiefs and department members who assisted with setup and cleanup, as well as to the Maine Fire Service Institute for supplying the trailer and equipment that made the course possible.
