October 22, 2025 - Firefighters visited the Pre-K class at Madawaska Elementary School, where they spent time with the students and shared safety lessons. In addition to community outreach, crews also conducted foam training exercises. Foam is a vital firefighting tool used to combat fires involving combustible liquids such as gasoline or oil, making it especially useful for vehicle fires. Everyone had the opportunity to practice, from the Deputy Chief to the department’s Junior Firefighter.

The Kindergarten class visited the fire station for a tour. The students explored the fire trucks, learned about the equipment, and talked with firefighters about the importance of fire safety.
