West Brookfield, Mass.—October 11— The West Brookfield Fire Department welcomed residents to its annual open house this morning as part of Fire Prevention Week. Visitors toured the fire station, met local firefighters, and learned about the equipment used in emergency response.

The event provided an opportunity for families to learn about fire safety in a relaxed, hands-on setting. Children explored the fire trucks, while firefighters discussed home safety, escape planning, and the importance of working smoke alarms.
