DCFD Rescues Worker Trapped Under 30-Foot Boat

Dunn’s Corners, RI — October 29 — Around 9:30 a.m., Dunn’s Corners Fire Department was dispatched for a report of a person trapped beneath a 30-foot boat. Crews arrived to find one individual pinned between the vessel and the ground.
Firefighters stabilized and lifted the boat, freeing the patient, who was transferred to Westerly EMS for treatment and transport to a trauma center in stable condition. Westerly Police assisted on scene.
The department thanked all agencies for their teamwork and commended its volunteers for their quick, coordinated response to a challenging rescue.
