Dunn’s Corners, RI — September 19 — The Dunn’s Corners Fire Department managed two separate emergencies within 12 hours on September 19.
At 8:41 a.m., WFD Car 34 reported a working structure fire on Dunn’s Corners Bradford Road. While units were en route, Car 34 entered the home to keep the fire contained and ensure all occupants were safe. DCFD crews arrived, extinguished the remaining fire, and confirmed there were no injuries.
That evening, around 8:30 p.m., DCFD responded to a marine incident in Charlestown, where a boat had run aground. Firefighters secured the vessel and safely assisted three occupants to shore.
The department extended thanks to Rising Tide Nutrition for providing protein shakes to responders at the morning fire scene. Both incidents demonstrated effective coordination and readiness across multiple response types.
