Charlestown, RI — October 12— The Charlestown Fire District expressed appreciation to families and community members who attended its open house this past Sunday. Despite poor weather, the event drew a strong turnout and provided an opportunity to discuss fire safety and prevention.

The district also thanked Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service for attending and displaying equipment, Dunn’s Corners Fire Department for use of its electronic sign to advertise the event, and Bing’s Backyard Bash of Coventry for providing a bounce house for children.

Events like this continue to strengthen community partnerships and reinforce the importance of fire safety education throughout Charlestown.
