Sturbridge, Mass. — October 28, 2025 — The Sturbridge Firefighters Local 170 responded early Tuesday morning to a car versus utility pole crash on Cedar Street. The collision brought down live wires, prompting a temporary road closure as firefighters and police secured the scene.

No injuries were reported. National Grid was requested to the site to address the damaged pole and downed lines. Crews remained on scene until the area was made safe, and the roadway was reopened to traffic at approximately 3:33 a.m.
