Barre, Mass. — October 20, 2025 — The Barre Fire Department, from Station 1 on North School Street, responded with Engine 1 to assist Westminster Fire Department at a large compost and brush fire on Saturday.
Crews from multiple mutual aid companies worked together to contain the fire, which involved heavy smoke and deep-seated burning material. Barre firefighters provided water supply operations and supported suppression efforts throughout the day.
