October 07, 2025 - East Litchfield firefighters with Engine 26, visited Center School during Fire Prevention Week to educate students about fire safety. Firefighters discussed the importance of having a family safety plan, explained how smoke detectors work, and demonstrated what a firefighter might look and sound like during an emergency. The East Litchfield Fire Department joined Bantam Fire, Litchfield Fire, Northfield Fire, and Litchfield Volunteer Ambulance in supporting this important community event.
