October 13, 2025 - East Litchfield firefighters aboard Engine 26 responded to a scene involving wires and trees down with fire and arcing. Crews closed Marsh Road at Buell Road while Northfield Fire Department assisted by closing access at Newton Road. Once Eversource arrived on scene, firefighters returned to service. East Litchfield Fire extends thanks to Northfield Fire for their teamwork and support.
