Collingdale Fire Company Assists Darby Fire Co. at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Incident

Collingdale, Pa.—October 7— The Collingdale Fire Company, Station 33, located at 510 Clifton Avenue, responded with Quint 33 to assist Darby Fire Company #1 (Station 4) for a reported building fire at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby Township.
Upon arrival, responding units investigated a smoke condition inside the hospital and determined the source to be a malfunctioning HVAC unit. Crews conducted ventilation and confirmed there was no active fire within the structure. All units were cleared after completing their checks.
