Ridgefield, N.J. — October 10 — At 8:21 a.m., the Ridgefield Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike’s eastern spur, northbound at mile marker 117.1.
Upon arrival, crews found a single-vehicle accident involving a car that had struck the guardrail. There was no active fire, and firefighters confirmed the scene was safe.
One passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The vehicle was later removed by city tow, and all Ridgefield units cleared the scene within 45 minutes.
