Swatara Township, Pa.—October 9— The Swatara Fire-Rescue, headquartered at 599 Eisenhower Blvd. in Harrisburg, took part in a community fire-prevention event hosted at a Lindle Road business as part of Fire Prevention Month activities.

Firefighters met with families throughout the day, allowing children and adults to explore department apparatus, meet first responders, and learn key safety practices such as checking smoke alarms and developing home escape plans. The department used the event to highlight its broader commitment to public education and community outreach.
