Steelton, Highspire, and Swatara Fire Companies Team Up for School Fire Safety Program

Steelton, Pa.—October 16— The Steelton Fire Department, located at 185 N. Front Street, joined Citizens Fire Company #1 of Highspire and Swatara Fire 91 for a Fire Prevention Week program at Steelton-Highspire Elementary School.
Firefighters from all three departments came together to teach students and staff what to do in case of a fire—covering topics such as recognizing alarms, safe evacuation, and calling for help. Students also had the opportunity to see fire apparatus up close and learn how firefighters prepare for emergencies.
