October 14, 2025 — Excitement filled Hampton Station 2 as 48 Tanker officially arrived home. Over the coming weeks, crews will conduct training and equipment fitting to prepare the new apparatus for service.

The addition of 48 Tanker marks a significant step forward in ensuring the department’s ability to provide efficient fire suppression and emergency response across Hampton Township and neighboring communities.

Hampton Township Fire & Rescue expressed its gratitude to the Hampton Township Committee for their continued dedication to public safety and for supporting the department’s mission to protect lives and property.

Special thanks were also extended to Absolute Fire Protection Co. — particularly sales representatives Chris Dubois, Greg Matthews, and Richie — for their expertise and assistance throughout the purchasing and delivery process.

This new tanker stands as a testament to the department’s commitment to readiness, modernization, and the safety of the community it proudly serves.
