October 17, 2025 — Despite last weekend and Monday’s poor weather, members of the Frankford Township Fire Department kept their training momentum going by moving their Monday night drill indoors at Station 1.

Firefighters practiced hose line deployments, focusing on efficient routing and obstacle avoidance—key skills that ensure smooth and safe operations during emergency responses. The department emphasized that continuous training, regardless of conditions, is essential to maintaining readiness and effectiveness when the community needs them most.

The department also reminded residents that there are many ways to get involved, offering several membership opportunities beyond firefighting, including: Firefighter, Junior Firefighter, First Responder, Fire Police & Auxiliary.

Those interested in joining are encouraged to message the department or stop by the firehouse on Monday nights to learn more about training and volunteer opportunities.
