Londonderry Firefighters Respond to Vehicle Fire Call on Route 283

Middletown, Pa. — October 5, 2025 — The Londonderry Fire Company, based in Middletown, Dauphin County, responded to a reported vehicle fire on Route 283 eastbound at mile marker 7.9 Sunday morning.
Engine 54, Engine 54-1, Tanker 54, and Utility 54 arrived to find a vehicle with a blown motor and no active fire. Crews checked the engine compartment for hazards before turning the scene over to the Pennsylvania State Police. All Company 54 units cleared shortly afterward.
