Bayonne, N.J. — October 3 — Firefighters handled a one-alarm blaze at a multi-family home on Avenue A between 23rd and 24th streets, getting everyone and a family dog out before controlling the flames.
When they arrived, Bayonne Fire Department companies saw smoke from the back of the two-story building and started fireground operations. The crew worked to contain the fire and make sure the building was evacuated safely.
The response included the Bayonne Fire Department, Bayonne Police Department, and McCabe Ambulance. Injuries to residents or emergency workers were not reported.
