Downe Township Fire/Rescue and Dive Team served communities in Downe Township and maintained resources for fire and rescue emergencies. The department operated in Cumberland County, New Jersey, where coordination with neighboring fire companies helped support emergency operations.

Dwelling fires required firefighters to assess the situation, identify hazards, protect nearby structures, and work to bring the incident under control. Depending on conditions, responding crews could also be assigned to search operations, ventilation, water supply, and overhaul.

The response highlighted the role of mutual aid in helping local fire departments manage residential emergencies and provide additional resources when needed.
