Haddonfield, N.J. — October 8 —The Haddon Fire Company No. 1 crews turned a local playground into a unique training ground Wednesday night, using the equipment’s tight spaces, narrow walkways, and steep climbs to simulate real-world fireground challenges.
Firefighters practiced maneuvering through confined areas while wearing their new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), testing both mobility and endurance in controlled but realistic conditions.
The exercise helped members strengthen familiarity with the updated gear while improving confidence in handling restricted environments often encountered during search and rescue or interior operations.
