Allendale, NJ - Emergency responders from the Allendale Fire Department deployed vehicle rescue tools during the evening hours to extricate an injured occupant following a two-car collision within the borough.
Fire personnel were dispatched to the crash site on the evening of Sunday, October 18, 2026, after emergency dispatchers received reports of a multi-vehicle accident with injuries. Arriving crews encountered two heavily damaged vehicles in the roadway and confirmed that one motorist was physically pinned inside the wreckage, requiring specialized technical extrication.
Department members stabilized the vehicles, isolated electrical systems, and utilized hydraulic equipment to breach the damaged cabin.
Working in tight coordination with on-scene paramedics throughout the Bergen County community, firefighters successfully freed the trapped individual and assisted EMS personnel with safely packaging and removing the patient for urgent transport to an area medical facility.
Crews then cleared debris and fluid hazards from the roadway before opening the lanes back up to traffic.
