Botsford, CT - Botsford Fire Rescue deployed heavy rural water supply apparatus to assist the Easton Fire Department during a working structure fire that drew emergency units from multiple surrounding communities.

The dispatch was transmitted on the morning of Sunday, September 27, 2026, calling for two tankers to immediately reinforce local water supply operations. Responding across municipal borders within Fairfield County, Botsford crews mobilized Tanker 559 alongside Dodgingtown Fire Department's Tanker 229 to set up an uninterrupted rural water shuttle for frontline handlines.

First-due firefighters from the Easton Fire Department, working in tandem with mutual aid assets from the Stepney, Long Hill, and Fairfield fire departments, mounted a fast and aggressive initial attack.

Supported by continuous water deliveries from the mutual aid tankers, crews brought the flames under control quickly and prevented extensive spread throughout the structure.
