Lehighton, Pa. — October 10 — The Lehighton Fire Department joined neighboring departments for the annual Fire Prevention Day at the Lehighton Area School District. Firefighters met with students to discuss fire safety, demonstrate equipment, and highlight the importance of working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Crews also reminded students and families about creating home evacuation plans and establishing a safe meeting point in case of an emergency. The event is part of ongoing efforts to promote prevention and preparedness across the community.
