Mutual Aid Supports Bowmanstown in Overnight Structure Fire

Bowmanstown, Pa. — September 22 — The Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company responded to a working dwelling fire just after 5:38 a.m., after dispatchers received multiple reports of flames and possible entrapment. Chief 9 quickly struck a second alarm for manpower and tankers, followed by a third alarm as heavy fire conditions were visible from several miles away.

Upon arrival, Engine 9 encountered a fully involved residence. Crews deployed three lines for suppression and worked to bring the blaze under control by 6:30 a.m.. Fortunately, no one was inside the home at the time of the fire. Engine 9, Tanker 9, and Brush 9 operated at the scene with assistance from multiple mutual aid departments.
